In 1851, a man named James King revolutionized the world by adding a drum to the washing machine. A bold move. A historic one.

Fast forward to 2015 — enter James Queen, a restless inventor, minimalist over-packer, and sworn enemy of coin laundry. After one too many overpriced laundry cycles and one sock mysteriously gone forever, he uttered the now-iconic words:

“What if the drum... wasn’t necessary?”

Naturally, he booked a one-way ticket to Cairo for a backpacking sabbatical (because inspiration needs desert air and street falafel). One week, three sandstorms, and a solar-powered prototype later, the very first Washeen™ was born.
